These 3 foods may not be helping your weight loss if you are eating them, but you are not getting the results you’d expect.

 

There are many people that are doing the right things, following their diet, but their scale is not reflecting it.

 

It is not always related to effort, but that they are allowing foods into their diet that is not helping their weight loss. They seem to be healthy weight loss type foods, but there are often ingredients in them that counteract successful weight loss.

 

What are these foods not helping your weight loss?

 

Fruit Flavored Yogurts

Fruit flavored yogurts are a favorite among many dieters but many of these are just little containers of sugar blasts. If you want to include yogurt, just be sure to check out the sugar content first. I’ve seen yogurts with 40 grams of sugar in it. I have also seen yogurt for 7. Sugar yogurt have unwanted artificial sweeteners, which can be just as bad for you. Check for plain Greek yogurt and flavor it yourself with a handful of fresh berries.

 

Fat-Free Products

The other group of foods you may want to take out of your diet is fat free products. Many products proudly say fat free on the label, which isn’t a bad thing except more often than not, something has been added too. This is usually sugar, so it will help its taste. Sugar can be as bad as fat in your efforts to lose weight.

 

Protein Bars

The 3rd food to be careful with when including them in your diet is protein bars. Getting enough protein is a good thing, but once again, be sure to check the sugar content. Protein bars commonly have at least 15gm’s of sugar, but many have more than 40. This is a crazy amount of sugar and that would make them foods not helping your weight loss.

If you want to include protein bars, search for those with low sugar content, 5 grams or less.

Watch the sugar too, not just fat or calories

These three foods that are not for weight loss can be, but you’ll have to do your due diligence in finding them without excessive amounts of sugar.
